It takes more than 150 manual steps to handcraft our products, and each one is completed by an experienced artisan. They either execute the step by hand (as in the cutting of leather and application of the soles) or with the help of a hand-operated machine. The entire process requires 6 to 8 weeks to complete. We don't take shortcuts. We do things the traditional way which is the only way to guarantee the longevity of our products. We believe the human touch is essential and invaluable.

All of our shoes are designed in-house by our Head of Product Design, who applies years of experience in the footwear industry to create timeless styles that will look and feel fantastic for years to come. Once the sketch is ready, patterns are created and prototypes are made. It takes a lot of testing and refinement, sometimes years, before a product is ready to be introduced to our customers.

Our full-grain calfskin leathers and water-repellent suede are sourced from a Gold-rated family owned and operated tannery in Arzignano, Italy. They are amongst the most well-respected tanneries in the world, and have earned a global reputation for the quality of their leathers, and their sustainable practices. Other components for our shoes are sourced from providers in Spain, Italy, Japan and Uruguay.

Full-grain leather indicates no artificial correction was applied to the hide in the tanning process. This is important because it preserves its natural integrity. As with any other skin type, the outermost layer is where the fiber density is highest. In full-grain leather this layer is kept intact which results in better adaptability, flexibility, breathability and resistance. Full-grain leather also has visible pores with a natural appearance. It's easier to care for as it absorbs conditioning creams. It doesn't crack or peel off and develops a unique patina as it ages. In short, it's the best type of leather for high-quality shoes.

Our water-repellent repello suede is perfect for shoes, and is actually more durable and easier to maintain than you might think. There’s no need to worry about exposing them to light rain or snow, and with proper care, they will maintain their shape and develop a rich patina over the years.

We use different types of soles, depending on the formality and style of the shoe: Full-Grain Leather soles are made with bovine leather bends that have been veg-tanned to allow the leather fibers to slowly compress, resulting in a robust and malleable cellular structure. These are the most elegant soles, and a mark of sophistication. Vulcanized Rubber soles blend natural and recycled rubber to improve resilience, strength, flexibility, traction and water resistance. EVA + Rubber soles are engineered from a 70% EVA + 30% rubber blend for lightweight comfort and cushioning, enhanced durability, traction and abrasion resistance. EVA + TPU soles are lightweight and durable with superior shock absorption, even pressure distribution, reliable traction, temperature stability and eco-conscious sustainability. TPU soles provide endurance, exceptional resistance and tear-proof durability.
