Slip into these.

It might surprise you to learn that water-repellent suede is sturdy, durable, and easy to maintain. And it looks fantastic, especially when fashioned into a shoe style as iconic as the Bernard Tassel Loafer. With or without socks, this model of the Bernard Tassel Loafers will add a special touch to your day-to-day looks. Refined and versatile, with inherent elegance, you can easily wear them with your favorite jeans, relaxed trousers and casual suits.

This product is made from naturally water-repellent suede sourced from a Gold-Rated tannery based in Arzignano, Italy. Being the highest level of recognition awarded by the Leather Working Group, a Gold rating signifies the leather manufacturer meets the most stringent criteria and demonstrates a strong commitment to mitigating its environmental impact.

TIMELESS DESIGN

Made for years not seasons.

Based on classic designs, all of our shoes are crafted to outlast trends and be as stylish in the years to come as they are today. This makes them an excellent investment, especially since you won’t have to replace them as tastes change. You’ll always be in fashion when wearing them with suits, jeans, chinos or trousers.

PROPER LASTING

Long term structural integrity.

To ensure your shoes have a firm, stable shape and structural integrity, we humidify the leather of the upper and place it on a foot-shaped mold called a last. There it air dries for at least 72 hours during which time the shape solidifies, and the leather fibers bond together. This guarantees your shoes will retain their shape for a very long time.

BLAKE STITCH CONSTRUCTION

Resoleable and comfortable from day one.

Stitched soles are the mark of quality footwear. With the Blake method, a row of stitching attaches the upper, insole, midsole and outsole. This results in a sturdy yet extremely comfortable shoe, plus it’s easy to resole when the time comes.

Details don’t only matter, they’re everything.

Handcrafted with integrity

Great value shouldn't come at the expense of human dignity. For us, it's equally important to provide an excellent experience to you and to our craftspeople.

What the press is saying

FAQs

  • What is your manufacturing process?

It takes at least 150 manual steps to make a pair of Beckett Simonon shoes. Our highly skilled and dedicated artisans either execute the step by hand (as in the cutting of leather and application of the soles) or with the help of a hand-operated machine. The entire process takes between 6 to 8 weeks to complete since we don't cut corners and pay extra attention to every detail in order to guarantee the longevity of our products and your continued satisfaction.
  • What size should I order?

If you know your Brannock device size (the measurement tool you see in shoe stores), order that size. If you don’t know this size, but have dress shoes from other high-end brands, use that size. For reference, see our size chart. Please contact Customer Service if you need a personalized recommendation.

All of our shoes are made with a standard D width, however, if you require a wide or slender fit, we might be able to accommodate you:

If you have a wide foot, such as an E width, going up a half size should work for you (for example if you are a size 9E, order 9.5 with us).

If you have a slender foot, such as a C width, going down a half size should work for you (for example if you are a size 9C, order 8.5 with us).
  • How long does it take to break-in the shoes?

Generally, your shoes should be comfortable straight out of the box and require little or no break-in period. However, it’s a personal experience which depends on your foot shape, making sure you have the correct size, the types of socks you wear and the way you walk. If you find the shoes too stiff at first, don’t worry - they’ll soften and conform to the shape of your feet over time. If you experience any discomfort, we recommend you wear your shoes indoors before wearing them for a long period outside. If it persists, please contact Customer Service.
