This product is made from robust pull-up leather sourced from a Gold-Rated tannery based in Arzignano, Italy. Being the highest level of recognition awarded by the Leather Working Group, a Gold rating signifies the leather manufacturer meets the most stringent criteria and demonstrates a strong commitment to mitigating its environmental impact.

I bought another leading brand last year and was disappointed after several months when they started to break down. They had the appearance but not the substance.
When I received my new Dowler boots, I could tell by the difference in weight there was more substance than the other boots. Time will tell, as I wear boots every day and do a lot of walking.
The Dowler boots were comfortable on my first walk. My usual size was a good fit with no pinch points.

Well worth the wait!
The hand-made quality of these boots is quite fantastic! Great leather quality and the construction is sturdy and clean. My experience with customer service was also quite good. Beckett Simonon communicated frequently along the process, so I always knew where my order was in production. If I emailed, they replied promptly. The biggest drawback is that they don’t have any wide sizes currently. However, in a great email interaction, I heard that they are working on getting wide sizes available. If you can wait for your shoes, it’s difficult to beat this combination of quality for the price.
